Mid-day on the Chinle is quiet, peaceful and calm. The colors of the minerals in the layers aren’t easy to see at that time of day, and the tint of the morning sun often touches the clouds that rise up early to begin the summer monsoon storm that releases rain late in the day. The call of the coyote, song of the crow and a light breeze brings the experience home to the heart.
