“Spirit Spring” 16″ x 20″ Oil on canvas, framed. $1,500
The Navajo’s sacred source of water, their only source of water except for rain. This spring is used to water and irrigate their crops of sacred corn and other eatable plants. This painting was done deep in winter when the sage and other range plants turn pale and drop their foliage. Ghostly and subtle, this landscape brings the true spirit of the desert on the Rez in winter.
